1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
Welcome to Sooqna! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Sooqna’s platform. By accessing Sooqna, you agree to these Terms.
2. ABOUT SOOQNA
2.1 What It Is
Sooqna is a peer-to-peer marketplace for buying and selling second-hand and clearance home items. The platform provides listing, browsing, and transaction management, along with logistics services operated by a third-party provider.
2.2 What It’s Not
Sooqna does not own or guarantee the items listed by users.
Sooqna is not liable for the condition, authenticity, or legality of listed items.
Sooqna is not responsible for disputes between buyers and sellers outside of the provided dispute resolution process.
3. DEFINITIONS
Sooqna: The peer-to-peer marketplace for second-hand interior design items.
User: Any individual or entity using Sooqna.
Seller: A user listing and selling items.
Buyer: A user purchasing items.
Storage Service: Optional storage for listed items.
Delivery Partner: Third-party handling logistics, transportation, and assembly.
Stripe: Third-party payment processor for transactions.
4. USER ACCOUNTS
4.1 Registration
Users must provide accurate information and maintain account security.
4.2 Eligibility
By using this platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the mental capacity to enter into legally binding online purchases.
4.3 Account Suspension & Termination
Sooqna may suspend or terminate accounts violating these Terms.
5. LISTING AND SELLING ITEMS
5.1 Listing Requirements
Items must be accurately described; discrepancies may result in a 10% discount deducted from the seller’s payout if the buyer accepts it.
All submissions are reviewed for quality, condition, and style before being listed.
Except if the seller opts for storage service, the item remains with the seller until it is purchased by a buyer.
Listed items must be available for sale; sellers must promptly mark items as “sold” if no longer available to avoid misleading buyers. If a buyer places an order for an unavailable item due to the seller’s failure to update the listing, Sooqna reserves the right to recover any non-refundable payment processing fees. These fees may be invoiced to the seller for direct payment within seven (7) days. If unpaid, Sooqna may deduct the equivalent amount from the seller’s future earnings on the platform. Repeated failure to comply may result in account suspension.
Prohibited items, including counterfeits and illegal goods, are not allowed and may result in legal action.
Failure to meet these requirements may result in the cancellation of transactions and blocking of access to the app — both as a buyer and a seller.
5.2 Pricing and Commission
Sooqna charges a commission covering the company’s service fees (including payment processing, logistics, conformity control, marketing, platform maintenance, customer support, and dispute resolution) (see Section 11: Fees).
An optional fixed fee applies for items requiring disassembly and reassembly (see Section 11: Fees).
Sooqna reserves the right to adjust fees at its discretion.
Payments are processed via Stripe and held until completion of the process.
5.3 Payouts
Seller payouts are transferred 24 hours after delivery, provided no claim has been made.
6. BUYING ITEMS
6.1 Payment
Payments are processed securely via Stripe; cash payments and wire transfers are not accepted.
Funds are held on Stripe until 24 hours after delivery, if no dispute is made.
6.2 Returns & Disputes
All sales are final. Returns are only accepted per the Refund Policy.
Buyers must fill the dispute form within 24 hours of delivery.
Sooqna reserves the right to make final decisions on disputes.
Sooqna exclusively manages return logistics to protect user privacy.
Refunds are processed via Stripe.
7. PICKUP, DELIVERY, AND LOGISTICS
7.1 Delivery Fees
Delivery fees, charged to buyers, are based on item price (see Section 11: Fees).
Sooqna’s logistics partner insures transportation and handles items disassembly and assembly.
7.2 Pickup Process
Once an item is sold, sellers must schedule pickup promptly via the Sooqna app.
Sellers must ensure access to the item; unattended homes are the seller’s responsibility.
The logistics team inspects, photographs, and packs items for transport.
If a pickup is missed due to item inaccessibility, the logistics team will contact the seller to arrange a same-day reschedule. If same-day pickup is not feasible, a re-pickup fee may be deducted from the seller’s payout (see Section 11: Fees).
7.3 Delivery Process
Buyers are notified of the scheduled delivery date once agreed with the seller.
Buyers must ensure access for delivery or indicate in advance if the item can be left in a secure space; unattended homes are the buyer's responsibility.
The logistics team unpacks (if needed), assembles (if needed), takes photographs, and confirms item condition upon delivery for documentation and dispute resolution.
By signing the optional handover, buyers confirm receipt in expected condition, waiving any refund/return rights.
If access is unavailable at the scheduled delivery time, the logistics team will attempt a same-day re-delivery. If not feasible, and overnight storage is required, a storage fee and re-delivery fee may be apply (see Section 11: Fees).
8. STORAGE SERVICES
8.1 Storage Fees
Storage is available for a monthly fee based on space occupied and time stored (see Section 11: Fees).
A one-time pickup fee applies for items sent to storage (see Section 11: Fees).
Storage fees are charged at the beginning of each subscription month, which starts on the day of the pickup.
The amount is updated monthly based on the remaining space occupied.
Fees must be paid within 7 days of invoicing.
8.2 Unpaid Storage Fees
If unpaid for more than 10 days, Sooqna may take ownership of the stored items and decide whether to donate, sell, or dispose of them.
9. PROHIBITED CONDUCT
Users must not:
List prohibited items.
Provide false information.
Use Sooqna for illegal purposes.
Harass other users or the Sooqna team.
Violations may result in account suspension and/or legal action.
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on Sooqna is protected by copyright. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
11. FEES SUMMARY
Sooqna Commission – 23% of the sales price
Disassembly/Assembly Fee (if needed) – AED 150 per item
Delivery Fee – Calculated based on the item’s price
Re-Pickup Fee (if needed) – Same as the item’s delivery fee
Re-Delivery Fee (if needed) – Same as the item’s delivery fee
Overnight Storage Fee (if needed) – Same as the item’s delivery fee
Storage Pickup Fee – One-time fee based on the number of items and disassembly requirements
Storage Fee – Monthly fee based on the space occupied
12. CHANGES TO TERMS
Sooqna reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be updated on the website, and continued use of Sooqna constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
